This IDF filter is the best that I've used, and I've seen them all. The chromed sheet metal ones have a tendency to crack and break over time due to vibration. The other billet filters have a top plate that attaches with wing nuts which I've found to loosen over time due to vibration. This unit has a large contact surface area because of the taper head screws that hold down the top plate. M
